Hallway of Forgotten Memories

University of Minnesota, Morris

March 2019

I remember sitting at the end of this hallway with my graphite pencils and ruler, sketching to myself while students sometimes passed me as they went to class. The hallway was located in the basement of the Humanities and Fine Arts building on the University of Minnesota, Morris campus. Aside from a few students passing every now and then, the hallway was dark and creepy, with little to no color aside from a mixture of stone grays. I no longer call this campus my home, and I am forgetting more about it each day. But this hallway has stayed fixated in my mind because...I never realized just how empty it looked when no one was there.

Materials used: Graphite pencils, ruler, shader
